Alexander’s Uniforms is a family owned and operated uniform company. In business since 1945, our three retail locations offer Southeastern New England’s largest in-store selections. Our on-site sales program works with hospitals, nursing homes and medical offices from Vermont through Connecticut to New York.
Alexander’s Uniforms was established in 1945. The Gentili family bought Alexander’s Uniforms December 10th, 1980. It was a cold snowy night, and not just any cold snowy night, but Michael’s birthday.
Alexander’s Uniforms first resided on the 6th floor of the Alice Building in Downtown Providence, RI. Everyday, Michael would park his car in the alley next to the Alice building; he would carry all of the boxes down from the 6th floor of the building and would fill his car with all of the deliveries. Personal customer service has always been at the heart of Alexander’s Uniforms.
In 2007, the original Alexander’s Uniforms location moved to 1 Lambert Lind Highway, Warwick, Rhode Island, where it resides today.
The Gentili family has grown over the years with Michael and Joan’s children, grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends working for the company.Just like how the Gentili family has grown, so has the Alexander’s Uniforms business.
Alexander’s Uniforms opened its location in Norwich, Connecticut in 1992. In 1994, Alexander’s Uniforms opened it’s first warehouse while launching the On-Site Uniform Sales Program the same year. In 2000, Alexander’s Uniforms opened its location in Norwood, Massachusetts.
In 2018, the new alexandersuniforms.com was launched with a brand new interface and offers for customers. Embroidery, special discounting for schools and groups, facility and store pickup and more make the online shopping experience easier and more advanced for customers.
